Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has revealed that former Kotoko forward Eric Bekoe predicted his decisive goal against Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash.
Amoah scored the match-winner in Kotoko’s 1-0 victory over their arch-rivals on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Speaking after the game, he shared that Bekoe called him on the morning of the match and confidently predicted that he would score.
“Asibey is a very strong player and gave me a tough time, but I give credit to Eric Bekoe because he called me this morning and said, ‘Albert, you have a goal today,’” Amoah recounted.
Albert Amoah initially gave Kotoko a first-half lead, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
However, he eventually found the back of the net, capitalizing on a defensive error to score the match-winner in the dying embers of the game.
The goal took his league tally to seven, placing him second on the top scorers’ chart, just one goal behind Faisal Charwetey.
