The former Great Olympics marksman recently joined the Libyan outfit for an undisclosed fee, sparking numerous controversies between Kotoko and Great Olympics.
The Division One League side is due 30 percent of Albert Amoah’s transfer fee from Kotoko, as stipulated in his deal last season.
Amoah will reportedly receive a $200,000 signing-on fee and a monthly salary of $20,000, potentially rising to $25,000.
Despite not disclosing the transfer fee, Great Olympics boss Oluboi Commodore has urged Kotoko to be transparent regarding the sale of the forward.
“We deserve our fair share from the deal, and Kotoko must be open about the transfer details,” Commodore said as quoted by Dailysports.
“The clause was clear when we sold the player, so we expect everything to be handled professionally.”
Amoah joined Asante Kotoko from the Dade Boys last season and swiftly established himself as a key cog to the team. He netted 16 goals in 30 league appearances for Kotoko, establishing himself as the club’s most potent weapon in attack and one of the standout players in the domestic championship.
In continental football, Amoah also impressed, scoring two goals in four appearances during the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds, despite Kotoko’s eventual elimination.
Having commenced training with the Libyan outfit, he is expected to make his debut for the club in the coming days.
The move represents a major step in Amoah’s career as he joins one of Libya’s most successful clubs, who are regular participants in CAF inter-club competitions.
