The government of Ghana, according to a report gathered will give Kotoko $250, 000.
The money is to help assist the club financially in their participation in the CAF Competition Cup.

Over the years, most Ghanaian clubs are unable to participate in African competitions as they do not have the money to support their budget.

The club will also receive at least $200, 000 from CAF for being able to qualify to the group stage of the competition.
Kotoko will play Zesco United, Nkana FC and Al Hilal in the group stages.
