The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said his party and the ruling New Patriotic Party cannot solve the vigilante issue alone.
Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi, Nketiah said it will be too “simplistic” for only NPP and NDC to sit and solve the issue.
According to him, although they sign a peace agreement before every election and things still happen then he [Nana Addo] should know that both parties cannot sit down and solve the party alone.
He said the NDC is very “committed” to solving the issue, however, they do not agree with how the president wants it to be done.
Nketiah said that his party wants the Peace Council or pastors or Traditional leaders to be involved in solving the issue.
But Nana Addo who does not support this idea has become a “stumbling block” to this idea.
Nketiah added that the recent Joy News report about De Eye group shows that Nana Addo is not ready to solve the issue on vigilantism in the country.
