C.K Akonnor, the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has said he is happy at Kotoko.
C.K led the club to the club stage of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in a decade after beating Cotton Sport in Kumasi and Yaounde.
However, after the club’s elimination from the competition, rumours started that the former Accra Hearts of Oak and Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC coach will be sacked from the club.
But the management of the club came out to deny those rumours.
Before those rumours started, reports came out that C.K nearly resigned a day before one of their CAF Confederation Cup matches as he was not happy at the club.
Speaking after his club’s 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, C.K said he is not bothered by the rumours of his departure, nonetheless, he is happy at the club.
“I’m here [at Kotoko] with a 3-year contract and I’m happy. There will come a time when Kotoko will not be happy with me and will ask me to go and that’s normal.
“I was once with Ashgold, and they were not happy with me and I left. If Kotoko are not happy with me, they will ask me to leave and that’s normal. But I don’t concern myself with those rumours [that he will be sacked]. I know I will not be here forever,” he said.
