The uncompleted Krofrom market in Kumasi has now turned into a base for weed smokers in the area.
The market which started during Kuffour’s time in office has been abandoned since he left office.
Since then, the uncompleted market stores have been turned in a weed base and a hideout for thieves.
The residents in the area have been complaining and asking the government to complete the market so that the smokers and thieves can leave the area but their plea to the government has been heard.
The market which has over 100 stores has also been turned into a toilet by the thieves and smokers.
Early this year, the KMA at a meeting indicated funds are sourcing for funds from the private sector to complete the market but nothing has been heard or done about it since that announcement was made.
