Actress Mercy Asiedu has lauched a TV series called Sankofa. The actress at the launch of the program said they launched the program in other to help promote the Ghanaian culture. The program which will be aired on TV will be in Akan, Frafra, Ewe and other local dialects.
She also indicated that they will hire people who are good in English to do good translation for the program.
The actress also stated the need for the series was because of TV programs from the India and South America has taken over our screens giving way for their culture to take over ours.
Therefore, Sankofa, which will be about the Ghanaian culture will help educate Ghanaians on our culture.
