Aduana Stars FC will challenge the Ghana Football Association (GFA) if they choose Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold SC to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively for the 2020/2021 season.
According to the Dormaa based club, the last time the league was played, they won the league while Kotoko won the FA Cup, therefore, if the FA decides to cancel the 2019/2020 league and select the clubs to play in Africa, then they must be selected to play in the Champions League.
Also, they believe they qualify to go to play in the Champions League because they are currently on top of the 2019/2020 league table so if the league gets canceled, they must be chosen to play in the Champions League.
However, others believe since Kotoko won the Normalisation Committee Tier One Cup last year, then they must be given the node to play in the Champions League.
Reports from Aduana indicate the club is waiting patiently to see if Kotoko and Ashanti Gold would be selected after which they will write a letter to the GFA.
