The African Cup of Nations which is the biggest sporting competition in Africa will start on the 13 January 2024 in the Ivory Coast.
The opening match of the game will be between the host nation, the Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau at the 60,000 capacity Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
Senegal will be hoping to retain their title after winning it for the first time in their history when they play Gambia.
Africa’s most successful country at the AFCON, Egypt with seven trophies will also start their campaign when they play Mozambique on matchday two in the first game followed by the game between four times African champions, Ghana and Cape Verde.
Some of the biggest games to look out for in the group stages are the games between Ghana and Egypt, Ivory Coast and Nigeria, Senegal and Cameroon, and Tunisia and Mali.
