The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has denied the rumours that he is trying to relocate the yet to be completed the University of Environment and Sustainable Development to the area where he comes from.
During his tour of the Eastern Region, Nana Addo said he will not relocate the school from Somanya to Bunso as the rumours they are hearing is just a misinformation.
‘There is only one University of Environment and Sustainable Development here in the Eastern Region,’ he said by stating that he is giving them ‘clear answers.’
‘It is the first public university in the Eastern Region.’
‘It has only one Vice-Chancellor’ which he also said will have its residence at Somanya.
Nana Addo clearly emphasized that because he comes from the Bonso area, it is easy for his opponents to tell the people of Somanya that he wants to take all the developmental projects to his hometown.
Nana Addo debunked all the rumours and promised the people of Somanya that the agreement they had with the contractors will not even permit him to relocate the school.
