The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has relieved the Energy Minister, “Mr Boakye Agyarko, of his position, with immediate effect.”
In a statement signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, the office of the Minister of Energy will temporarily be occupied by the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr John Peter Amewi.
According to Joy FM in Accra, Eugene Arhin has said the sacking of Agyarko has got nothing to do with the Ameri deal and he has also accepted the President’s decision to fire him.
