The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), has said Nana Addo’s 18 months in office is better than Mahama and NDC’s 8 years in power.
According to the business mogul, the President has been able to fix “dumsor” within 18-months as well as put things in place to put the country on the right track.
“The truth is, Nana Addo has done very well for Ghana,” he said.
He emphasized the constant supply of electricity under Nana Addo’s government has help barbers, hairdressers, Christians and Muslims as well.
“Not only that, we have also reduced the electricity bill for every household.”
Adding, he said he has been going from hospital to hospital to find out if the NHIS is now working as compared to NDC’s One Time Premium insurance policy.
“The One Time Premium did not work but now everyone can see the National Insurance is working.”
“Akufo-Addo has delivered his promise,” he told Angel FM in Kumasi.
Chairman Wontumi mentioned the Free Senior High School program as one of the policies signalling how better his party is working to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
After being in office for 18 months, some Ghanaians started voicing out their dissatisfaction with the government’s policies saying it has made life unbearable for the ordinary citizen.
A video in which the President, then a Presidential aspirant was heard saying he will change Ghana in “18 months” when given the mandate to rule the country resurfaced after his 18 months in office.

However, his supporters are of the view that although the country is facing challenges, Nana Addo has done more for the country than what Mahama and the NDC did for the NDC in 8 years. To them, the challenges the country is facing is because the government is fixing the mess the previous government led by former Mahama created.
