The Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed has told Parliament that he will ‘come with a motion of censor’ because the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremateng ‘does not want to be a minister.’
Muntaka told the Speaker that the Minister for Trade and Industry does not respect the house as he has failed to show up before the house ‘three times’.
He accused Kyeremanteng of not respecting the house as he has prioritized the executive functions are more important than the legislative functions.
The minister, he said has found ways to postpone his meeting with parliament thrice in a month.
The minority chief whip also criticized other ministers of state who have been doing the same and said they sometimes have to wait for six months before some ministers will be ready to appear before parliament to answer questions.
