The Ghana U-23 team, the Black Meteors have been knocked out from the CAF U-23 AFCON in Morocco. The exit from the tournament means that Ghana has failed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris, France next year.
Ghana scored the first goal through Emmanuel Yeboah in the 33rd minute while the Guineans equalized in the 60th minute.
Both Ghana and Guinea finished on 4 points but due to goal differences, Ghana could not make it to the next stage of the competition.
This is the fourth time since January 2022 that Ghana has failed to make it out of the group stage.
In January 2022, the senior national team, the Black Stars got only one point at the AFCON in Cameroon. Later in the year, Ghana failed to qualify from the group stage of the World Cup.
Early this year, the Black Galaxies failed to qualify from their group in the CHAN tournament and now the Black Meteors have also followed suit.
