Asantehene destools the chief of Ahenkro

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has destooled the chief of Ahenkro, Nana Ahenkro Sei Ababio III.

Nana Ababio III has become the second chief to be destooled by the Asantehene this month after the chief of Asafo, Nana Akyamfour Kwame Akowouh II.

The Ahenkrohene was destooled after he was found guilty of claiming overlord status on himself and also defiled the Asantehene’s ban on chiefs from taking lands and chieftaincy to issues to the court.

After the Asantehene gave his verdict, residents of Ahenkro near Offinso went to the streets of the town to jubilate.
