Four Ashanti Gold players are reluctant to sign a new contract after being linked with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
According to the report, Shafiu Mumuni, Appiah MaCharty, James Akaminko and Latif Anabila are not interested in signing a new contract with the club as they want to join Kotoko.
Kotoko reportedly made a bid for Akaminko before the ban on the club’s transfer by Asantehene and they have also reportedly started negotiations with Mumuni after his transfer to Romania failed.
According to the report, the fans of Ash Gold believe Maxwell Konadu is secretly convincing the players not to sign the contract with the club as he needs them at Kotoko.
Ash Gold, on the other hand, has given proposals to the players but the players have told the club their agents would contact them.
