The regional derby between Kumasi Asante– Kotoko and Obuasi Ashanti Gold will lose its attention this weekend due to the ban on Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Kotoko is serving a five-match game ban due to the clash between the fans and the police during a Premier League game between Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
While the ban has affected the games Kotoko has played at the stadium, Ash Gold is happy because it will favour them in their game this weekend.
Ash Gold is hoping to at least get at least a draw like Liberty Professionals or beat the Porcupine Warriors like what Berekum Chelsea did before the ban.
While Ash Gold is happy about the ban on Kotoko, it is not all that well with their team.
Ash Gold has been struggling to score for some time now and they will have to play without two of their player, James Akaminko and Amos Addai.
The two clubs are among the five teams leading the table with 17 points but Ash Gold is leading Kotoko on goal difference.
