American singer Ashanti has unveiled her plans to visit Ghana.
In an interview on an American radio station, Hot 97, Ashanti said that she was expected to travel to Ghana in 2019 at the height of the Year of Return – when many of her colleagues were also exploring the country.
However, this could not happen because she injured her ankle, which made it impossible for her to travel, “I was so devastated,” she said.
Ashanti said that she changed her plans and hopes to visit Ghana in December 2022. The singer noted that she is excited to see Ghana and everything it has to offer.
Ashanti is not the only one with plans to see Ghana.
American rapper Meek Mill is also finally making his way to Ghana after years of expressing interest.
The rapper is set to perform at the 2022 AfroNation concert to be held in December 2022.
Also, Nicki Minaj earlier this month hinted that she wants to visit Ghana like her colleagues.
The ‘Super Bass’ hitmaker, in an Instagram live, said that she is ready to explore the country but she did not specify when she would make the trip.
Nicki Minaj said that she also would be working with a Ghanaian artiste during the visit.
