The game between Ashanti Gold and Asante Kotoko has been postponed indefinitely, the Ghana Football Association has announced.
The GFA in its announcement said the decision to postpone the game was due to ‘inteligence report and advice from the Ghana Police Service.”
The game was supposed to be played on Thursday, 19 May 2022 at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi but after the GFA announced that Ashanti Gold would be demoted to Division Two for playing a fix-match with Inter Allies last season, the fans have become furious with the owner of the club, Dr Kwaku Frimpong and his son, the CEO of the club, Emmanuel Frimpong who have also been banned for 10 years and 8 years respectively from participating in football.
A new date is expected to be announced soon.
