The General Secretary for the NDC, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, after seeing Anas’ Number 12 documentary about the rot in Ghana football has expressed his worry saying the rate at which corruption is in the country can lead to a coup d’état.
The NDC Secretary General believes the trust people have in politicians will dwindle if things like what he saw in the video continue to happen.
He further went on to say that Ghanaians expect those in power to put in place measures for the common good of the people but if those in power continue to be corrupt would it not make soldiers rise against the government?
The expose, according to him although has got to the do with the NPP government, Ghanaians will rather add all politicians.
He went on to express that there might be some truth in what Nyantakyi was saying about the President, Nana Addo.
‘Did it not come out that Nana Addo had sold his father’s land?’
Mr Asiedu Nketia made those comments after Mr Nyantakyi indicated in the Number 12 video that he knows for a fact that the President sold family properties to run his campaign and as a result he needs money.
He believes if care is not taken, the corrupt practices in the system will force some soldiers to overthrow the government.
