The Assemblyman for Manso Abodom, Hon Paul Kusi is accusing an ECG worker in his area for defrauding some people at Manso Nkwanta.
According to him, the man told people who need electricity metres to apply for it. Later they told all those who applied for the metre to pay ₵20.
Paul Kusi said they were given receipts for the money they paid but he realized on the receipt the amount on it was less than amount they paid. He questioned the official who was handling it and he was told that is how they do it.
The ECG official, he said is called Kesse, told Assembly members they are done with the metres and are now waiting for them.
Adding, he indicated some ECG workers went to disconnect the light in houses that owe the ECG. The residents started accusing him of not being able to bring them the metres as the ones they are already using is faulty.
Paul Kusi said he approached the Kesse and asked about the new metres and he was told they have used the money so he should do whatever he wants.
He has petitioned the Assembly and also asked for Kesse to appear before the house for questioning.
