Residents of Atwima Takyiman in the Ashanti Region are begging the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu to enstool Nana Antwi Agyei as their chief again.
The chief according to reports was destooled for defying the orders of the Asantehene concerning a long standing dispute between the Kwanwomahene and the Atwimahene over who is the true legitimate owner of stool lands.
Weeks after his removal from the stool, the resident in the area are begging the Asantehene to forgive him and enstool him as their chief again.
Although he is no longer the chief of the area, the residents said he did not let workers stop the developmental projects he was embarking on. He has rather motivated and assured the workers of his support for the projects.
Also, some school children who the chief was supporting in school claim he might not get the resources to support them if he is not enstooled as chief.
As at now, it is not known if the Asantehene will heed to their plea but the residents are of the hope that their wish will be granted.
