Bailed Hearts of Oak fans still in jail

The seven Accra Hearts of Oak fans who were bailed by the Nkawie Circuit Court after they destroyed seats at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium could not be allowed to go home yesterday.

The Post has gathered that after they were granted the ¢50,000 bail, the Police had to make sure they know the residence of each of the men.

Also, the court registrar was not around to sanction the deal, therefore, the men could not be allowed to go home.

The Hearts of Oak fans were arrested after they destroyed seats at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium because they believe the referee did not give a penalty to Accra of Hearts of Oak.

Accra Hearts of Oak lost 2-0 to their archrivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.

The National Sports Authority announced after the game they will need ¢30, 000 before they can fix the damages.
