Barcelona and Real Madrid fought out a 1-1 draw in the Copa del Ray semi-final first leg on Wednesday night, but it appears one Blaugrana star wasn’t quite up to scratch.
Lucas Vazquez gave Real an early lead in the cup tie, after he was on the end of some fine link up play from Vinicius and Karim Benzema.
However, Malcom, who was standing-in for the injured Lionel Messi, levelled in the second half, meaning it is all to play for in the second leg.
The cup tie was certainly not an El Clasico that will live long in the memory of fans of either team.
Rather, the performance of £142m winger Coutinho appeared to be the biggest talking point of the night, and not for the right reasons.
The ex-Liverpool ace has struggled to adapt to life at the Nou Camp following his big-money move 12 months ago.
Playing alongside the two most prolific forwards in La Liga this term in Luis Suarez and Messi, Coutinho has continuously been outshone.
And it appears several Barca fans have finally lost faith in the Brazilian, taking to Twitter to show their frustration at their No. 7.
“I’ve lost my patience with Coutinho,” one fed up fan wrote.
And one asked: “What is coutinho good at? Honestly.”
Ousmane Dembele was left out of Wednesday’s team with a hamstring problem.
But it seems fans are eagerly awaiting his return, with several calling on Barca boss Ernesto Valverde to pick him ahead of Coutinho.
“Dembele seriously needed. Coutinho not up to it,” one tweeted.
And another added: “No need to really talk about Coutinho because it’s embarrassing. 160M kind of embarrassing. Gonna be benched instantly by Dembele.”
Coutinho was linked with a return to the Premier League with Chelsea after a tricky first year in Catalonia.
But Blues fans appear reluctant to see him back in England, with one tweeting: “Isco and Coutinho. God safe us from clowns like this.”
And one Barca fan added: “At this rate, getting 80m for Coutinho will be a steal.”
