If you are thinking of a place to go this Christmas in the Ashanti Region, I think you should add the Bobiri Forest Reserve and Butterfly Sanctuary to your list.
The Bobiri Forest Reserve and Butterfly Sanctuary at Kubease in Ejisu in the Ashanti Region is an ecotourism and the only butterfly sanctuary in West Africa. The Sanctuary which was created in 1931 has about 400 species of butterflies.
A visit to the forest will give you the opportunity to see all the different types of butterflies you never imaged existed in the world.
The place is not well known as compared to other tourist centres but I bet you the colours of the butterflies you will see there will make you want to go back.
If you are thinking about a place to go when you go there, don’t worry there is a guest house available.
I forgot to add this, there are birds too.
