Body of 8 year old boy who drowned at Jachie found

Last Saturday, an 8-year old boy who got drowned when he was returning from his parent’s farm at Jachie in the Ashanti Region has been found.

The boy got drowned in River Twede  while crossing it. The residents in the area found the body the following day after a thorough search.

According to an eyewitness, when the boy got to the bank of the river the rain had washed the wooden bridge over the river away.

The eyewitness told the boy he was going to help him cross the river but the boy jumped into the river, hoping to cross it on his own.

He got drowned while crossing the river.
