Eric Agyei, a member of the opposition NDC has accused the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister of selling students bed to a scrap-dealer.
He also accused that the Regional Minister, Asomah Cheremeh of causing financial loss to the region.
According to him, the beds which were at the residency have been sold to a scrap dealer at Fiapre roundabout.
“Let someone go there now”, he told Angel FM in Sunyani.
“There is nothing wrong with the beds”, he added.
Eric Agyei said the beds were given to the region during John Mahama’s time as President but because they left office they could not share all of them.
However, the scrap-dealer, King Hughes, said he bought them at an auction.
“I wrote a letter to the Regional Coordinating Council and I got a letter that they will be auctioning the items”.
The scrap-dealer said he does not remember when he bought them, how much he bought them and how many they were unless he checks the paper he wrote everything on.
Eric Agyei lashed out at the Minister and blamed him for the reason why some students in the region do not get a bed to sleep on.
