Kumasi Asante Kotoko, according to reports was ordered by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to cover the logo of their sponsor, Goil before their game against Al Hilal in Sudan.
Kotoko had to cover the logo because CAF does not allow clubs to advertise some things in the competitions.
Ghana Oil Company (Goil) which is a Ghanaian oil and gas company will till the competition have their logo cover on all Kotoko’s jersey’s as CAF’s main sponsor for the competition is Total, is also into oil and gas.
Apart from covering Goil’s logo on their jersey and bibs, Kotoko will also be allowed to show the logo anywhere in the stadium, as well as any other logo CAF, will not approve off.
