The Chief of Achiase in Ejisu-Juaben Municipality has turned his palace into a classroom for school children in his area.
Speaking to Angel FM in Kumasi, the Chief said he now meet with his elders in his veranda.
He indicated that he there is a six unit uncompleted school in the area which has been abandoned by the government.
The Chief, Nana Kwaku Duah, upon seeing the poor state of Achiase R/C School building turned his residence into the classroom for the students.
The six-unit classroom block is believed to have been abandoned by the government for about 10 years and the Chief said he has spent a lot of money on trying to complete the building.
Nana Kwaku Duah also stated that teachers do not even get a place to live and he has reported to the officials at Ejisu yet nothing has been done about it.
Students from class six to JHS 3 are currently using the Chief’s palace as their classroom.
The Chief and students are calling on the government to come to their aid as they find it difficult to study.
