Cohen claims Trump asked him to ‘name one country run by a black person that’s not a shithole’

US President, Donald Trump’s formal lawyer Michael Cohen has told Vanity Fair Trump once asked him to ‘name one country run by a black person that’s not a shithole.’

Earlier this year, Trump was said to have to use the word ‘shithole’ to refer to Africa. His alleged comment caused anger among African countries but the White House claimed he never said it.

Cohen also claims Trump told him that ‘blacks are too stupid to vote for’ him.

Michael Cohen who once served as the Republican Party’s deputy finance chairman is set to be sentenced to jail on 12 December after he pleaded guilty to tax evasion, bank fraud and campaign finance violations.
