The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has advised Ghanaians to stay home in other to end the spread of the coronavirus.
The President in his address to the nation last night updated the country on the confirmed cases of the coronavirus as well as those who have passed away.
Nana Addo in his address told Ghanaians to stay home as now is not the “time for politicking or the display of partisanship” as the virus does not care about their political affiliation and the enemy is the virus and not the political parties.
He further explained that when the country is free from the virus, his government knows how they will bring the economy back, however, they do know not know how to bring back a dead person.
“I assure you that we know what to do to bring our economy back to life. What we do not know how to do is to bring people back to life.”
After the President banned public gathering, the General Secretary of the NDC, Asiedu Nketiah in an interview with Graphic Online said the president has put the ban on public gathering in other to rig the December 2020 election.
