Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Asokwa Deportivo today played a friendly that ended 3-3 at Kotoko’s ground at Adako Jachie.
The match was coach Maxwell Konadu’s first match and it was used to prepare the team for Sunday’s President Cup match against Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The first half ended 1-0 as Kumasi Asante Kotoko scored the first goal in the 26th minute through Sogne Yacouba.
In the second half, Konadu made changes and brought in youngster Matthew Annim Cudjoe.
Deportivo proved to be a strong opposition and equalized in the 76th minute from the penalty spot.
Cudjoe’s include changed the game as Kotoko scored two goals through his effort.
The youngster was brought down and Justice Blay did justice to the opportunity given to him and made it 2-1 and minutes later, Cudjoe assisted Abege to make it 3-1.
But the lower division side was not ready to give up and in the 90+7 minute, Deportivo scored from a free-kick which was close to the penalty area and added a third two minutes later.
