Deaf and Dumb woman walked from Ashanti to Eastern Region to buy a phone

A deaf and dumb woman from a town at Atwima Mponua in the Ashanti Region shocked residents in her area when she walked to the Eastern Region to buy a phone.

While some people thought she might be having a psychological problem, it was revealed she has a clear mind.
Adwoa Emum, as she is popularly called in her hometown, a married woman and a mother of four children was found in a town called Kwahu Nyimso in the Eastern Region weeks after she left home.

According to the reports, the husband of Adwoa Emum got home from work and asked his children about their mother. The children told their father she told them she was going to buy a phone.
Adwoa, who is also pregnant got beaten by some people when she first got to the Eastern Region as they thought she was a bad person but a good Samaritan saved her and took her to Kwahu Nyimso where she stayed until she was found.

Back in her hometown, when they realized she was lost, they made announcements on radio until they got a call from an Assemblyman at Nyimso telling them she was in their town. Adwoa Emum spent over a week with those who saved her until she was found.
Adwoa was taken to her hometown and when she saw her husband, both could not hide their joy.
She was taken to the police station and they were told to take her to the hospital for a medical checkup.

The family of Adwoa have promised the people of Nyimso that they will pay them a visit one day.

However, how Adwoa ended up in Eastern Region is yet to be revealed.
