Since launching his campaign at Central Region, Mahama first described his loss in the 2016 election as God’s way of letting Ghanaians know how good he was as He wanted Ghanaians to compare his leadership to that of the NPP.
Days later, the former President indirectly accused the NPP of rigging the elections that caused his defeat.
In an interview on Angel FM, Dr Yaw Okyere Addae Mensah, a lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology asked what exactly the former President is trying to “communicate?”
“If you listen to him you will know he is saying different things,” he said.
“In one breath he said it was God who caused his defeat. In another breath he suggested it was the NPP who rigged the elections,” he added.
Spio Garbrah after Mahama stated that God caused his defeat lashed out at the former President for saying that saying he should blame himself.
Also, Mahama has also on other occasion said other things which he believes caused his defeat in the 2016 elections.
However, one thing which is missing from all his statements is his refusal to accept that Ghanaians voted against his government.
Now the simple question we are asking is, did God really caused Mahama’s defeat, did the NPP rigged the elections or Ghanaians voted against him?
