The Government of Ghana and the world football governing body, FIFA, yesterday, after a meeting in Zurich, Switzerland, came to conclusion on how to solve the problem facing Ghana football.
The Government of Ghana got the invitation to Zurich after the President of Ghana had a telephone conversation with FIFA President, Gianni Infantino.
However, reports gathered indicates the President of France, Emmanuel Macron made everything possible for Ghana to escape the ban.
According to the report, the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo called the French President and asked him to talk to Infantino on behalf of Ghana.
Also, reports indicate Nana Addo had to step in after he found out two letters had been sent to Ghana by the FIFA which the Liaison Team and the Ministry of Youth and Sports had failed to reply.
FIFA, this week sent a letter to the Liaison Team, emphasizing the government should drop its lawsuit against the Ghana Football Association. But, it has been revealed this week’s letter was the third letter to be sent to Ghana by FIFA.
Yesterday, the delegation from Ghana led by the Minister for Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah met with FIFA and came to a conclusion to bring sanity to Ghana Football.
