Residents of Manso-Adubea in the Ashanti Region are finding it difficult to understand how a cripple man used a brilliant technique to steal phones and money from them.
According to the residents, the man who gave his name us Paa Kwasi and lives at Anwia Nkwanta asked a man who sells petrochemicals to help him get a place where he can sit and repair phones.
The man told him to sit beside his shop and work.
However, he got a lot of customers as he had gone to an information centre in the area to make an announcement.
About 40 people took their phones to him and also gave him money so that he can fix it for them early.
He fixed one phone and started charging it for the owner and told the rest that he has to take the rest to Kumasi and fix them as he cannot fix them at his Manso. Paa Kwasi borrowed a motorbike from someone and told the people that he will be back soon.
Since Paa Kwasi left Manso on Saturday, they have never seen him again.
Later on, while the people were looking for him, they found out that he had used the same trick to steal phones and money from a different place.
Moreover, when they went to Anwia Nkwanta to look for him, they found out from the residents that there is no man like that in the area.
Some of the phones he stole include Samsung and LG phones. The residents have vowed never to show mercy to a cripple man again.
