The Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei has explained how Kumasi Asante Kotoko made it to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Speaking on Fox FM in Kumasi after Kotoko qualified to the group stage of the competition, Dr Kyei said that ‘in everything you do, you must forget about losing and fear’.
Also, after Asantehene gave him the team to manage, he realized that they cannot spend money on the team and not play football. Therefore, he realized it will be best for them to compete in Africa.
He further stated that he was surprised when he was not Kotoko cannot compete in Africa because after all, Kotoko will be spending their own money.
So he was happy they were allowed to compete in the Confederation Cup and also thanked the media stations that supported them in their quest to compete in Africa.
Dr Kyei also revealed that he is not interested in winning the league in Ghana but he is now interested in winning a continental trophy.
