A bridge linking Ejisu and Onwe over the weekend collapsed during the heavy downpour in the area.
People living at Onwe, Kwaso, Asieninpong amongst other areas could not move to Ejisu as the rain had caused River Oda to wash away the bridge.

According to reports, one man almost got drowned while trying to find a way to get over the collapsed bridge.
Drivers who ply the route took advantage of the collapsed bridge to increase the transport fare by 100% as they now have to use the Accra-Kumasi road to get to Ejisu and other areas.
Meanwhile, some drivers are staying they might add more to the new fare as they spend more petrol on the new route.
