The President and the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is currently leading the elections.
Per the provisional results and the certified results from seven regions by the Electoral Commission, the President is leading with over 50% of the total votes cast.
However, the National Democratic Candidate (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has also told his supporters to jubilate because “Ghanaians have voted for change” as they have won 140 seats in the parliamentary elections. Meanwhile, the NPP have also said they have maintained their majority in parliament though they have lost over 20 seats.
