After it was reported that Kumasi Asante Kotoko want to establish a women’s team, it was reported that the founder and president of Fabulous Ladies, Habiba Atta Forson has told Asante Kotoko not to name their team Fabulous Ladies as she has registered that name.
However, in an interview played on Oyerepa in Kumasi, Forson said she will be happy if they approach her.
“I would love it,” she said.
“I am a Kotoko [fan]”, she added.
She revealed that when she wanted to use the name Fabulous, she told the late Queen of Asante, Nana Afia Kobi and she told her to use the name.
“She [Nana Afia Kobi] was happy I wanted to start a women’s team].”
“You know, some years ago, I was an athlete for Kotoko. You know Kotoko was a sporting club. At that time, we used to run for the club before their games,” she added.
