The family and the leaders of the Muslim community in Ashanti Region have indicated they will not bury Alidu Lawal until the police tell them why they kill him.
According to reports, the body of the late Alidu was taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by the police without telling any of his family members.
The leaders of the Muslim community have indicated they are not going to perform the funeral rites until they are given a reason.
Alidu was working at Suame Magazine before his demise. Reports indicate Alidu was going to collect documents for a land he had bought at a suburb of Asuefoa in the Ashanti Region.
The deceased was going to for the documents with his brother after years of litigation on the land.
It is not known exactly what attracted the police to Alidu who was on a motorbike his brother had parked outside the Chief’s palace and also what made them shoot him.
The leaders of the Muslim community have also vowed not to touch the body until they are told why he was shot before they perform the burial rites.
This is not the first time someone has been killed by the police while residents suspect a foul play.
They also indicated they are going to inform the Asantehene to help them find the truth of the matter.
The police are yet to comment on the matter.
