People living in and around Bonwire have been living in fear for some weeks now after two people mysteriously went missing.
According to reports from the town, a man whose name was only given as Paul and also hails from the town but does not live there came to live in the town for some time and it was during his stay that the incidents happened.
Information we gathered indicates that the first incident happened when Paul went out with his with his uncle called Atta.
Hours later, the young man returned home without his uncle and when he was asked about his whereabouts, he told his family he went to see him off and has since not seen him.
Days later, a friend of Paul who is a shoemaker was arrested after a girl went missing. He was released after the police did further investigations and found him innocent.
The residents, since then, have been living in fear as women especially are afraid to go out at dawn and attend church services.
Before the two went missing, a man popularly known as Messi reported Paul to the police for trying to kill him.
Messi told the police Paul took him a place where a group of men were waiting for him.
The men, according to Messi, surrounded him and after a moment, they told Paul he is not the kind of person they want. As at now, it is not known exactly what they wanted to give to him.
The police, according to the reports we gathered, failed to follow up the case.
At the moment, Paul has left the town with his location unknown.
