Football governing body, FIFA has given Tunisian club, Esperance Sportive de Tunis an ultimatum to pay Kumasi Asante Kotoko the transfer fee of midfielder, Kwame Bonsu.
Bonsu left the Ghanaian giant and joined the Tunisian club for a fee of $150, 000, however, Esperance has failed to pay Kotoko and has also demanded $30, 000 from Kotoko.
Esperance wrote and informed Kotoko that they owe them $180, 000 from Emmanuel Clottey’s transfer to Kotoko, therefore, they have deducted the $150, 000 from the $180, 000.
FIFA gave the Tunisian giant an ultimatum to pay Kotoko after Kotoko’s former captain and Bonsu’s agent, Yussif Chibsah through a lawyer informed them.
The Post understands that had Chibsah not intervened, Esperance was not willing to pay Bonsu’s $100, 000 to him as per the agreement they made before he left Kotoko.
