Kessben FM sports journalist and Ghana Football Association Executive Committee member Fredrick Acheampong is contesting in the New Patriotic Party’s Ahafo Ano South East Parliamentay candidate primary elections.
The ace journalist who was in Ivory Coast and working as a match cordinator in the ongoing African Cup of Nations has returned home ahead of the elections.
Speaking on Kessben FM last Saturday, Acheampong, popularly called Achie, said the people he was working with at CAF were surprised when they found out he was leaving but when he told them that his hometown people need him, they understood him.
Ahafo Ano South East is one of the constituencies in the Ashanti and was created in 2016. The current Member of Parliament for the area is Hon. Francis Manu-Adabor.
