Gentle thief arrested at a church’s mission house

A thief has been arrested at St. Martin De Porres Roman Catholic Church mission house at Atonso in Kumasi.

The incident happened on 1 May after the church closed from a program it organised in the morning.

According to the report, Louis Kwabena Agyei attended the church’s prayers program that morning.

After the program, the members of the church heard the cook at the mission house shouting and calling for help.

The members rush to the scene and saw the young man running away with the cook’s handbag.

He was arrested by workers at the nearby filling station after he jumped over the church’s wall.

The church’s leaders protected him from the angry mob and handed him over to the Asokwa Divisional Police.
