Ghana has made progress in the latest FIFA ranking, positioning itself as the 59th best-performing country in the world. However, their placement in the CAF category remains unchanged, with Ghana ranked 11th among African nations.
During the recent international break in June, the Black Stars had a draw against Madagascar, resulting in a 2023 record of one victory and two draws in three games. Ghana has not been able to break into the top 10 in Africa for over a year, with their last appearance in October 2021 when they were ranked 7th.
Despite a draw and a defeat to Cape Verde and South Africa, including a victory over Brazil, Morocco retained the top spot in the CAF ranking. Senegal holds the second position after defeating Brazil and drawing with Benin, followed by Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Ivory Coast, and Burkina Faso in the top 10 list.
The global top ten ranking remains stable, with only minor changes. England has moved up one spot from fifth to fourth, while Croatia has surpassed the Netherlands to claim the seventh position.
