The Black Stars of Ghana have been nominated for the National Team of the Year award at the upcoming 2025 CAF Awards.
Despite failing to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the four-time African champions bounced back strongly by sealing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Their remarkable turnaround and consistent performances have earned them a place among the continent’s finest national teams vying for one of CAF’s most coveted honours.
Ghana will face stiff competition from Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, the reigning African champions, as well as Cape Verde, who made history by qualifying for their maiden World Cup, and the Atlas Cubs of Morocco, winners of the U-20 World Cup.
