Ghanaians not happy with Abedi’s Appointment to the new GFA
The government after taking steps to dissolve the GFA has also announced a new leadership for the football association.
The new team, led by Dr Kofi Amoah has Anthony Yeboah and Abedi Pele on board.
Abedi Pele’s appointment, however, has divided Ghanaians. While some Ghanaians are happy with the legend on board, the majority of Ghanaians are making a fuss about the game in which his team, Nania FC won by 32 – 0.
Those against his appointment are saying if we need someone to fix our football problems, we do not need someone who was once banned for match-fixing and also had his team demoted.
They also believe his appointment in the football association will cause confusion as his two children, Jordan Ayew and Andre Ayew were both left out of the Blackstars’ friendly games against Japan and Iceland.
The new interim GFA officials have been charged with taking steps to dissolve the FA till elections are conducted to swear in permanent GFA leaders.
