Freddie Blay’s 275 cars for the New Patriotic Party seem to have cause mix reaction among some Ghanaians especially his fellow party members.
The cars he bought, according to him will be given to all the constituencies so that they can use it to generate revenue for the party.
However, the timing according to some members of the party especially those supporting his opponent, Stephen Ntim, are of the view that it is a clear sign that he wants to buy the votes of his party delegates.
Some party members have asked Stephen Ntim to stop criticizing his opponent and concentrate on his campaign.
The cars which according to reports cost $11, 000, 000 has also got people talking.
Lots of people are asking as to how a car for each constituency in Ghana can be used to raise money for a political party?
Some people are asking why $11, 000, 000 should be used to buy cars for a political party when he could have invested it to create jobs to reduce unemployment.
Others are of the view that he should have at least bought some ambulances for the country.
His main opponent for the Chairmanship position has also come out to lash out at saying he is using it to ‘buy votes’.
The 275 cars arrived at the port yesterday, however, some people are asking if he will still give the cars to the constituencies should he lose the elections.
