Ghana’s Division 1 league is like hell

Ghana’s second top division league has been described as ‘hell’ by the participating teams and well as people who follow the league.

The league, which does not have the attention of the majority of Ghanaian is always surrounded by controversies.

According to reports we gathered, there are times when officials and the away team have to find ways and means to allow the home team to win a game so that they all can leave in peace.

All that an away team has to do is to accept defeat when they see certain signs from the home fans.

Some time ago, a management member of a Division One team told a radio station in Kumasi that during one of their matches on an away grounds, a fan of the home team told the centre referee he will shoot him if he doesn’t let the home team win.

Competing teams have been complaining about the bad things that go on in the division but because the attention of the nation is not there, it has become very difficult for teams to have their voice heard.
